Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement for the financial year 2023/2024 (year ending 30 April 2024)

Introduction

Coinford Holdings Ltd (06885002), Coinford Ltd (05256144), Coinford Central Ltd (07072849), Coinford Construction Ltd (02539207), Coinford Plant Ltd (06736352), Formco Construction Ltd (06798011) and Manco South Ltd (9434310) (together ‘Coinford’) has a zero tolerance towards slavery and human trafficking and is committed to preventing acts of slavery and human trafficking within both its business and it supply chain.

Organisation Structure

Coinford is a groundworks and concrete frame specialist that delivers contracts ranging from £750,000 to £50 million throughout London and the South East of England.

Supply Chains

  • Coinford’s supply chains provide:
  • Materials such as concrete, steel, aggregates, and other materials necessary to deliver construction projects.

  • Plant and equipment both owned and rented.
  • Labour engaged directly as employees or via agencies or subcontractors.
  • Subcontractors who may provide material, labour and plant to deliver projects.

Our policies on slavery and human trafficking

Coinford is committed to ensuring there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business.  Our anti-slavery and human trafficking statement reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our supply chains.

Due Diligence processes

Our process to identify and manage risks of slavery and human trafficking are:

  • We build long standing relationships with our suppliers and subcontractors and
ensure they fully understand their obligations.
  • We seek to limit engaging with suppliers outside of the UK –although have little
need to – and wherever possible seek to do business with the UK operation of
    any relevant international supplier.
  • We expect all entities with which we contract directly to have suitable anti-slavery and human trafficking policies and processes. As it is not practical for us to have a direct relationship with all links in the supply chain, we expect each entity in the chain to apply due diligence on the next link in the chain.
  • We have under taken a risk assessment of our supply chain in respect of slavery
and human trafficking and have identified where extra scrutiny is required.
  • We review our contractual arrangements to ensure that procurement contracts and related documents include prohibitions in respect of slavery and human trafficking and require compliance with the legislation.
  • All subcontractors are required to pass a thorough approval process before being allowed to commence on site.
  • We have well established systems to encourage the reporting of concerns and
    the protection of whistle blowers.
  • We carry out checks to ensure all CIS and employees have the correct Right to Work documents.

Training

We have made our procurement staff aware of their obligations under the Modern Slavery Act.

All directors have been briefed on the legislation.

This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes Coinford’s slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending 30 April 2024.
