» Health and Safety

Coinford puts the Health and Safety of its workforce at the heart of every project. We have an accident rate 40% below the national industry average and are committed to further reductions in personal injury and lost-time accidents.

In pursuit of this, our on-going annual training policy ensures all personnel have the skills and qualifications to carry out their duties safely and meet all statutory requirements. We are committed to full NVQ CSCS CPCS cards for our workforce.

In addition, we have our own internal standards of competency and provide extra training to address new working practices and legislation.

Formwork and concreting operatives have the industry – recognised Working at Height training on Alsipercha Fall Arrest System, Leading Edge Restraint System and Working at Height Rescues. Alongside this, Combisafe installation training, Abrasive Wheels and PASMA are delivered to these operatives.

Ground workers will also complete Abrasive Wheels, Cable Avoidance (CAT) & Genny training, Confined Space and HAV awareness.

They will also complete CITB SSSTS to ensure they are competent to supervise the works. 3 day First Aid training is also compulsory. This level of management will hold Temporary Works Supervisors  training  to  ensure  they  are  competent  to supervise the construction of Temporary Works.

Coinford is proud to have developed and deliver Behavioural Change training to engage with our workforce. This promotes interaction and engagement with our operatives to further improve H&S standards on site. Our Behavioural training is called ‘Worker Engagement’ and is being rolled out to all Coinford staff.
